Rockin’ Tech at the Atwood Innovation Plaza

By Cari Heizer

Interns from the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology have been busy this semester developing and implementing curriculum for our new micro:bit Club at the Atwood Innovation Plaza Makerspace.  BBC micro:bits are programmable micro-computers that use drag and drop programming to create fun and innovative creations.  This semester, local students have made robots, virtual pets, and rocked the house with micro:bit guitars.

The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology will be offering five-week micro:bit club sessions this upcoming fall, spring, and summer.  Information and registration details are available at STEM.utahtech.edu or contact Cari Heizer at heizer@utahtech.edu.
