Booth Wellness Center’s 3rd Annual Love Is…Event

By the Booth Wellness Center

The Booth Wellness Center is excited to host their third annual “LOVE IS…” event Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Kenneth N. Gardner Student Center Living Room and on the Gardner Plaza.

This event was created in response to questions and concerns students bring to the Booth Wellness Center about their relationships, how to recognize a healthy relationship, what protection options they have for safer sex, how to protect against an STD, contraceptive options available to them, and how to be a better partner in a relationship.

Join us for a “Sex Ed in Higher Ed” discussion in the Gardner Living Room at noon. This discussion will be led by Dr. Lori Mayfield and Callie Peacock, RN, with a focus on STD prevention facts and contraception options.

LOVE IS… also gives students an opportunity to:

  • Hang a Conversation Heart on the wall with a word describing what LOVE IS… to them
  • Play a game of Relationship Jenga to improve relationships
  • Pick up free condoms

The Dove Center, Women’s Resource Center, and Campus Police will be present to provide resources and answer questions about abuse, safety, and supplies/resources available on campus.

Stop on by and tell us what LOVE IS… to you!
